Vertical Skills Academy strives to maintain a well-defined student body in order to provide focused instruction, enhance social-emotional learning, and maximize all student outcomes. As every child has a unique history and learning profile with individual strengths and weaknesses which broadly impact learning, VSA must follow strict enrollment guidelines to ensure success for all students and staff.
We believe it is imperative that students are able to attend to instruction, listen and understand, and maintain behavioral expectations to ensure skills related to speaking, reading, writing, and math to grow.
Once all of the required paperwork and interviews are complete, the enrollment team will discuss whether or not Vertical Skills Academy will be able to the to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of the applicant. A decision letter will be sent the family and next steps will be discussed.
Step 1: Inquire
This is a time to become acquainted with one another, so you will have a better understanding of who we are and what our program offers and we will get to know you and your child. You may call, email, or complete an Inquiry Form to begin Step 1.
Step 2: Apply
This is a time for our team to better understand your child’s overall strengths and weaknesses, and for you to learn more about how we might support your child. Once you have toured and submitted the required paperwork, the enrollment team will complete a thorough data review at which point your child may be invited to spend a day at VSA.
Complete Enrollment Application (Fee: $120)
Submit Required Documents
Additional Testing (SLP, OT, PT)
Report card; if applicable, IEP or 504 Plan
Step 3: Enrollment
At this point, VSA has determined your child will be a wonderful addition to our student body. The next step is up to you! Contact the school to let us know if your student will be joining Vertical Skills Academy. We will begin planning for your student’s arrival once we have received a signed Tuition Contract and non-refundable Tuition Deposit equivalent to 10% of the yearly tuition.
Additional information will be electronically shared and collected prior to the first day of school.
